Marketplace on Ag Investors

Yesterday, Marketplace ran an interview with the author of the previously mentioned NYT piece on private investment firms jumping into the agriculture game by buying up pieces across the entire sector.  Hearing it made me even more uncomfortable than I initially was.  Absentee ownership of farm land is already sucking the life out of rural America and buying up vast swaths of farm land across the global south smacks a little too much of a return to the days of the banana republics.
