Chegg: The Netflix of College Textbooks

"The Best Way to Rent Textbooks."  I had no idea this existed.  Is it cheaper than buying via the internet and then reselling?

The other question is if it's not always cheaper to just buy the book used. Allbookstores.com is a great resource for finding used textbooks online at steeply discounted prices, and I just checked my for my fall textbook, and it's on here for the same price (and same edition) as the rental price.

But textbooks go through new editions quickly, making it difficult to take advantage of the secondary market sometimes, too.
