He looks tired and disappointed while he is doing it but given the way politics in America works it was inevitable that he would have to do so, which is as big a tragedy as anything else in the whole mess.
So now the question is whether or not Wright flamed out on purpose to try and force the hand of the campaign to denounce him, trying to get the whole mess out of the news cycle, taking one for the team the only way that would work. I haven't heard all of what Wright said, but the parts that I did I had heard before, so what is the big deal? Is this another example of the inappropriate role that religion in America plays (or is perceived to play) in politics? Is this in its own way Bush presidency fallout?
